YFS Camp

Youth Fundamental Strength Training

Beginning on Monday, July 12, The Missoula Underground Strength Training Center will be hosting a Youth Fundamental Strength and Conditioning Camp for youngsters ages 10-13.  (If your athlete is younger or older and you still feel like they may fit into the camp, call us)

The Camp will run four days per week at 9am, Monday through Thursday for six weeks, ending August 19th. 

The purpose of this camp is to get youngsters educated and started on the fundamental movement patterns required in order for them to move appropriately as they develop as athletes, and to gain the joint strength and proper mobility they will need to excel as athletes in the future.

We've been fixing broken athletes due to improper programming and poor fundamentals for too long!  This is an opportunity for young athletes to begin building up the basics they'll need in order to: 

Prevent Injury

Increase Joint Mobility 

Increase Muscle Activation and Recruitment

Increase Overall Function Strength and Power

Truly Increase Speed and Agility

We swear by the fact that young athletes are not born in a one week summer "Speed and Agility" camp.  They're born with consistent fundamental mobility, speed, and strength training, that requires dedicated time and effort over the course of several weeks. 

We're here to bring you just that! 

During this camp young athletes will learn the basics of proper movement patterns, both within resistance training, and speed and deceleration training.  The majority of the movements performed will be done dynamically and isometrically using their own bodyweight, with some light plyometrics in order to stimulate developing muscles and stabilize needy joints. 

This camp will only be open for 12 individuals, so don't wait till the last minute to try to sign your kid up, if it's full it's full.

The Cost of this camp is $300 for the six weeks, which comes out to $12.5 per session.  If your kid's are showing interest in athletics and fit into the age range of this camp, get them enrolled now!  One on one Strength Coaching runs roughly $50/hour, take advantage of the camps we offer and get your kids off to the right start now!
